This bridge officer was in command of the bridge in 2365 when Doctor Katherine Pulaski was transferred via shuttle to the USS Enterprise-D. He contacted Commander William T. Riker and informed him that the transfer was complete. He also wished good luck for the mission and sent regards to Captain Picard. (TNG: "The Child")

The video game Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II listed Pulaski and then-ensign Elizabeth Shelby as being assigned to the Repulse.
The Pocket TNG novel Vendetta gave Taggert's daughter Ariel Taggert (β) command of the ship in 2367, while the Star Trek: Gateways story The Other Side had a Trill in command by 2376, Kila Vet (β).
