USS Ni'Var

The USS Ni'Var (NCC-90237) was a Federation Reliant-class starship that was in service to Starfleet in the early 25th century.

In 2402, the Ni'Var was inside Sol Station when Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, Admiral Beverly Crusher, and Ensign Jack Crusher traveled to the newly rechristened USS Enterprise-G. (PIC: "The Last Generation")

The name, class, and registry of this ship were provided by Dave Blass. [1] [2]
The Vulcan language term Ni'Var, meaning "two-form", originated from fan Dorothy Jones, who wrote in the fanzine T-Negative in the late 1960s ahead of the term appearing in the licensed anthology The New Voyages. It has also appeared elsewhere in canon, e.g. the 22nd century starship Ni'Var and the later-century renaming of the planet Vulcan to Ni'Var.
