USS Manticore

The USS Manticore was an Oberth-class Federation starship operated by Starfleet during the 24th century.

Lieutenant jg Winger Bingston, Jr. once served on the Manticore for a year, prior to his stint on the USS Cerritos. His experiences there became the basis of Act Seven of one of his one-man shows, entitled "The Oberth Year". According to him, the Manticore was known as "one of the fleet's fun ships".
