The USS Excalibur (NCC-1664-M) was a 32nd century Federation Constitution-class starship operated by Starfleet. It was at least the sixteenth Federation ship to bear the name Excalibur with this registry.

Service history

In 3189, it was stationed at Federation Headquarters alongside other Starfleet vessels such as the USS Armstrong, the USS Nog, and the USS Voyager-J. (DIS: "Die Trying")

In 3191, the Excalibur was one of four starships recalled to Federation Headquarters as reinforcements against a Breen dreadnaught. (DIS: "Erigah")

It is unknown why this ship has a legacy registry following that of the 23rd century USS Excalibur (NCC-1664) despite the 24th century USS Excalibur (NCC-26517) having been established on-screen as not doing so.
