Trojan War

In Greek mythology, the Trojan War was a conflict fought over Helen which resulted in the destruction of the city of Troy.

In 2267, in response to to Yeoman Teresa Ross's beauty, Trelane alluded to the war when he asked "Is this the face that launched a thousand ships and burnt the topless towers of Ilium?" (TOS: "The Squire of Gothos")

Trelane does not identify the war by name but paraphrases a line from Christopher Marlowe's 17th century play Doctor Faustus.
