Tracken II

Tracken II was the inhabited second planet in its system. This planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant and was inside the Demilitarized Zone in the early 2370s. The planet was near to Solosos III and in the 2370s home to a Maquis colony.

In 2373, Captain Benjamin Sisko threatened to render the planet uninhabitable to Humans using trilithium resin unless Michael Eddington surrendered himself and his stocks of cobalt diselenide. Eddington agreed, and the planet was spared. (DS9: "For the Uniform")

Later that year, the colony was destroyed by a Dominion-Cardassian fleet. (DS9: "By Inferno's Light")

This planet was only mentioned in dialogue.
According to the script, the pronunciation for Tracken was "TRAK-un". [1]
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Tracken II was located in the Tracken system. The system's primary was a G-class star. In the late 24th century, it was an independent system.
