Tony Graf
Tony Graf is a visual effects artist/digital compositor who was involved in the production of the remastered Star Trek: The Next Generation project. The characters Tony Graf Raymond and Tony Graf seen on okudagrams in the remastered episodes "The Neutral Zone" and "Inheritance" were named after him.
Graf started his career as Match Move Technical Director and on set Supervisor for New Standard Post on the television series 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd (1999, starring Catherine MacNeal). He then worked as Lightning/Effects Technical Director for Rhythm & Hues on Hollow Man (2000), Little Nicky (2000), Red Planet (2000), and Cats & Dogs (2001).
The following years, Graf worked as Composite Artist, Flame Artist and VFX Supervisor for the companies Zoic Studios, Rainmaker Entertainment Inc., Hybride, Ring of Fire, and Skulley Effects on projects such as Van Helsing (2004), Spider-Man 2 (2004), the short comedy The Bar (2007) for which he received a 2008 Leo Award nomination in the category Best Visual Effects in a Short Drama, Hit and Run (2009), Shorts (2009, starring Jimmy Bennett), Case 39 (2009), and The Final Destination (2009, directed by David R. Ellis).
Between July 2011 and May 2015, Graf was part of the team at CBS Digital where he worked as Senior Flame Artist on The Last Man on Earth, Hindsight, Finding Carter, Entourage, Modern Family, and Luck beside the remastered Blu-ray release of The Next Generation.
Beside his work as visual effects artist, Graf also worked as producer on the short comedy Hard-bitten (2004), the documentary Chasing the Horizon (2006), and Taken by Force (2010, written, produced, edited, and directed by Ron Althoff and with Branscombe Richmond, Ed Lauter, James Lew, Lauren Mary Kim, Dan Woren, Lin Oeding, and Jeff Pruitt).
