Tom Fraser is a camera operator and cinematographer who worked as camera operator on the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Half a Life". He also worked as camera operator on Robert Legato's television special The Star Trek Logs: An MTV Big Picture Special Edition the same year.

Fraser started to work as camera operator in the late 1970s on projects such as Shame, Shame on the Bixby Boys (1978, working with Michael E. Little and Randy Nolen), Night Patrol (1984), Hunter's Blood (1986, cinematography by Thomas F. Denove), Penitentiary III (1987, working with Patric J. Abaravich), the action film Code Name: Zebra (1987, cinematography by Thomas F. Denove), D.O.A. (1988), Nightmare on the 13th Floor (1990), and Sledge Hammer! (1986).

Also in the 1980s, Fraser started to work as cinematographer on projects including Hollywood Zap! (1986), Wired to Kill (1986), Alien from L.A. (1988), the adventure Journey to the Center of the Earth (1988), the horror comedy Chrome Hearts (1989, starring Lycia Naff), the comedy Life on the Edge (1992, starring Vaughn Armstrong), and the action drama Midnight Confessions (1994).
