Tipton Bros. Deli was a deli located somewhere in the Los Angeles area. Established in 1966, this restaurant served breakfast all day and had daily lunch specials. The restaurant was set-up for carryout and catering. Items on its menu included bagels, sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, and homemade pastrami. It was in the same city block as a yellow fire hydrant. In 2024, this deli was across the street from Ava's Coffee.

That year, when Cristóbal Rios was beamed from his ship to California, he was off target, which caused him to materialize too high above ground-level, causing him to fall, briefly grasping hold of a fire escape, only to slip and fall to a painful landing on the sidewalk in front of this deli. Tipton Bros. Deli made its first appearance in Star Trek: Harlan Ellison's The City on the Edge of Forever. It was a homage to the writers Scott Tipton and David Tipton by the artist J.K. Woodward. [1]
