Thought transmission

A thought transmission was the sending of thoughts from one mind to another. It was unidirectional. Thought transmissions were common to telepathic species.

In individuals from non-telepathic species, the receiving of thought transmissions can be confusing, as they do not know the source of the thoughts at first. Captain Christopher Pike experienced this when he was a captive of the Talosians in 2254. (TOS: "The Cage")
