A thought process disorder was a medical condition that affected an individual's thoughts.

In 2364, Doctor Beverly Crusher believed Jean-Luc Picard was suffering from a thought process disorder, but couldn't find a physical cause. In reality, it was due to a thought maker that was being used against him by the Ferengi. (TNG: "The Battle")
