Thermographic analysis

A thermographic analysis was a diagnostic run on the shields of a starship to determine weaknesses.

In 2375, Seven of Nine did a thermographic analysis of USS Voyager's shields, which revealed several areas of stress. This led Seven to conclude that they coincided with attempts by aliens to breach the vessel. (VOY: "Equinox")
