Thermalization

Thermalization was the process of two things reaching a thermal equilibrium.

In preparing to do an orbital skydive on USS Voyager's holodeck in 2375, B'Elanna Torres ordered the shuttle she was about to jump out to go well over 200,000 meters, even though at that altitude she might thermalize. (VOY: "Extreme Risk")
