This was a single star system. The primary Epsilon Serpentis was an A-type star. (PIC: "Disengage")

Planetary system

In this system, there was the planet Aaamazzara, which was the homeworld of the Aaamazzarites. (PIC: "Disengage"; DIS: "Red Directive")

Stellar cartography

The Epsilon Serpentis system was visible from Earth in the constellation Serpens. It was approximately 72 light years from Sol.

In 2259, the location of this system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This was a non-aligned system. (SNW: "Spock Amok") It was later labeled on a star chart of space near the Romulan Neutral Zone. (SNW: "A Quality of Mercy")

In 2324, this system's position was labeled in a chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

In 2401, this system's position was labeled on a star chart used by Captain William T. Riker during his attempt at finding the last known location of the SS Eleos XII. (PIC: "The Next Generation")

The location of this star system was seen on the bridge of the SS Eleos XII on what appears to be an updated chart from Star Trek: Star Charts. Dave Blass published pictures of the set on his website.
