In the simulation, this male Human ensign, who served as an engineer aboard a refit Constitution-class starship, confronted Sam Rutherford about entering "the chamber" in order to fix the warp core breach, stating, "Sir, the radiation! You can't go in there!" Rutherford replied to the ensign's concern with, "I have to, son. I'm chief engineer." When Rutherford had trouble opening the door to the chamber, the incredulous ensign then observed, "Wow, this really shouldn't be that hard." Rutherford then told him "Shut up, Ensign!" Moments later, the ship exploded. (LD: "I, Excretus")

This ensign was voiced by an unknown actor.

Ensigns 2 - 4

These three ensigns, two Humans and a Vulcan, were in engineering during the simulation. The Vulcan female cared for the injured Human male, while a Human female ran through the section carrying a medkit. (LD: "I, Excretus")
