Tau Ceti IV was the inhabited fourth planet in the Tau Ceti system. The planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant and was approximately 12 light years from Sol.

For the Kobayashi Maru scenario in 2285, the spaceport Amber on this planet was the registry location of the Class 3 neutronic fuel carrier Kobayashi Maru and her master Kojiro Vance. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan; PRO: "Kobayashi", display graphic)

This planet was only mentioned in writing.
This planet's quadrant of origin was inferred based on the position of its star system as seen in the star chart appearing in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".
