Tarte tatin was a French tart. In the script for the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "We'll Always Have Paris", in Jean-Luc Picard's re-creation of the Café des Artistes aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2364, the waiter Edouard suggested tarte tatin, along with some wine and some cheese, to Picard.
