Tanuga system

The Tanuga system was an inhabited planetary system located in a sector of the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. The planet Tanuga IV was the homeworld for the Tanugans, a highly advanced humanoid species.

The USS Enterprise-D visited the Tanuga system in 2366 to deliver dicosilium to the Tanugan scientist Dr. Nel Apgar. (TNG: "A Matter of Perspective")

"TAN-ooh-guh" was the pronunciation for this system's name from the script pronunciation guide. [1]
