Tamu Blackwell (born 11 July 1955; age 70) is an American actress and assistant director from Brooklyn. She worked as the second assistant director on the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seventh season episode "Extreme Measures".
As an actor, she guest started in The Jeffersons, Maude, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Good Times, and Police Story. In film, she appeared twice with James Earl Jones in Claudine (1974) and A Piece of the Action (1977, with Marc Lawrence). She was later in Streets of Fire (1984, with Deborah Van Valkenburgh).
As an assistant director, she was second assistant director on Sisters and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991) and Eddie Murphy's Dr. Dolittle (1998).
