Takara was an inhabited planet, and was the homeworld of the Takarans.

The Takaran wildebeest was an animal from this planet. (DS9: "Crossfire")

In 2369, Takaran scientist Doctor Jo'Bril attempted to steal a prototype metaphysic shield to bring back to his homeworld and develop into a weapon, though his plan was foiled by Dr. Beverly Crusher of the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Suspicions")

This planet was only mentioned in dialogue.
