Taco Bell is an American fast food company that was owned by PepsiCo from 1978 to 1997.

During this period, Pizza Hut had already been acquired by PepsiCo, and PepsiCo was starting to make a big wave in the fast food business.

In 1984, Taco Bell sold a line of drinking glasses to tie-in to the movie Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Julie Piekarski appeared in the commercial that year.

The line of glasses had drawings taken directly from the film. The glasses included Spock, Kruge, fal-tor-pan, and the destruction of the USS Enterprise.
