Blooming swampkelp

Swampkelp was a flowering plant native to Kaminar. It was extremely inadvisable to touch swampkelp while it was in bloom.

Saru grew swampkelp in his quarters on the USS Discovery. When he permitted Sylvia Tilly to mist his plants in 3190, he warned her against touching the swampkelp as they were blooming. (DIS: "Choose to Live")
