Succulent

A succulent was a classification of plants that were thickened in shape to conserve water.

Kaminar had a small equatorial desert that was home to a type of succulent, whose flowers contained a gel used to make traditional Kelpien salt tea. In 3190, Saru gifted one of these plants to T'Rina, noting that it should thrive in the hot and dry climate of Ni'Var. (DIS: "...But to Connect")

Natasha Yar kept a succulent plant in her quarters aboard the USS Enterprise in 2364. Similar plants were found on Ligon II. (TNG: "The Naked Now", "Code of Honor")

Ard'rian McKenzie kept numerous potted succulent plants in her home on Tau Cygna V in 2366. (TNG: "The Ensigns of Command")
