A sign encouraging subscriptions

A subscription was a paid agreement to receive issues of a publication, such as a magazine or newspaper, regularly.

In 1984, a bus in San Francisco had a sign on the back which read "Support your high school band. Subscribe to the Chronicle." (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

Featured News also had a subscription feature on its website. (PIC: "Two of One")
