Stupor

Stupor was a state of complete psychomotor inhibition with retention of consciousness.

In 2365, a character in Data's Sherlock Holmes program was released from prison and spent the rest of that day in a tavern drinking gin with his wife, who followed him to the exact spot and waited over there until the victim slipped into a drunken stupor. (TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")
