Stubbornness was a personality trait that involved being unwilling to change one's mind or decisions.

In 2266, Spock said to Leonard McCoy, "You should be told the difference between empiricism and stubbornness, Doctor. I checked with the library computer, just as you did. I got the same information." (TOS: "The Conscience of the King")
