Street punk referred to members of a particular punk subculture; it referred to the individual punks themselves, as well as their music, fashion and culture.

If the holo-novels in the Vindictaverse were to be taken literally, then it is apparent that there was a street punk scene in Sydney, Australia during the early 1980s, as Sam Rutherford and D'Vana Tendi encountered a gang of street punks that tried to mug them. The hologram of Shaxs took them out in hand-to-hand combat. Rutherford tried to steal one of the street punks' leather jackets, but Tendi told them they didn't have time for that.
