State fair

A state fair was a type of fair held by an American state.

The back page of the Friday August 11th, 1893, issue of the San Francisco Register contained a classified ad requesting a young girl for diving horses at a state fair. The advertisement included information on the person who was doing the hiring. (TNG: "Time's Arrow")
