Starbase 83, abbreviated as SB83, was a Federation starbase administered by Starfleet. This starbase was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

Starbase 83 was the nearest starbase to and destination of the USS Enterprise-D after its return from System J-25 in 2365. (TNG: "Q Who")
