Starbase 200

Starbase 200, abbreviated as SB200, was a Federation starbase administered by Starfleet.

History

In 2267, the USS Enterprise was to proceed to Starbase 200 after it had charted an iron-silica planet. Instead, the Enterprise was diverted from its course when it twice detected momentary discontinuances in local spacetime. (TOS: "The Alternative Factor")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the location of this starbase in the Alpha Quadrant was labeled on a stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. (SNW: "Children of the Comet")

On stardate 1292.4, this system's position was labeled in a chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

Starbase 200 had an unusually high number. The next highest one ever mentioned in the Original Series and the Animated Series was Starbase 27 in TOS: "This Side of Paradise".
