Starbase 179

Starbase 179, abbreviated as SB179, was a Federation starbase located on a planet. The starbase was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

In 2365, the USS Enterprise-D made a stop at Starbase 179 for a transfer of several crewmembers to and from the ship, including Ensign Mendon. They were welcomed over com by a female officer, who acknowledged the transfer. (TNG: "A Matter Of Honor")
