• March – Captain Janeway and Security Chief Tuvok (Tim Russ) investigate the murder Tom Paris is accused of in "Ex Post Facto".
• April – in "Phage", Captain Janeway is surprised to find that Neelix (Ethan Phillips) has set up a kitchen in her private dining room.
• May – Captain Janeway and Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeil [sic]) are trapped in the past of a doomed planet in "Time and Again".
• June – Kes (Jennifer Lien) and Neelix share a romantic moment in "The Cloud".

• July – B'Elanna Torres shares information on the singularity in "Parallax".
• August – Tom Paris comforts Lidell (Robin McKee), whose husband has just been murdered.

• October – the Kazon-Ogla: the new enemy.
• November – B'Elanna Torres, Chakotay, and the rest of the Maquis crew are held in stasis by the Caretaker.
• December – Ensign Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) decides to befriend Tom Paris in "Caretaker".
