Squatter

A squatter was someone who took up temporary residence in a location that was not theirs to inhabit.

In 2374, The Doctor threatened Neelix and others wishing to bunk down in sickbay until USS Voyager's crew quarters could have their power restored, saying he might have a patient in the next few moments if they didn't move on. (VOY: "Demon")
