Speed walking
Speed walking was a style of walking at a higher velocity than a typical gait. Unlike running, in speed walking at least one foot is always in contact with the ground. Speed walkers often use a distinctive arm motion to increase speed.
In 2380, Ensign Brad Boimler speed-walked on Tulgana IV, to the bemusement of Ensign Beckett Mariner. Boimler claimed that speed walking conserved energy, and that Section 31 did it. (LD: "Envoys")
