Spatial orientation test

A spatial orientation test was the last part of a four-day testing program required of all potential Starfleet Academy cadets before they could take the Starfleet Academy Preparatory Program.

Nog was required to take this test when he conveyed a wish to enter the Academy in 2371. He initially failed the test because his uncle, Quark, had reconfigured the holosuite. Nog's father, Rom, discovered this and, after persuading Commander Sisko to allow Nog to retake the test, he threatened Quark not to interfere again. Nog subsequently passed the test and successfully entered the Academy. (DS9: "Facets")
