Space force

A space force was a branch of armed forces that conducted military operations in or involving space, such as warfare.

In 2375 during The Adventures of Captain Proton Holographic program on the holodeck of the USS Voyager, the fictional character Doctor Chaotica thought it ironic that he was using Proton's rocket ship to lead a space force into battle. (VOY: "Night")

While not referred to as a space force, and stated to not be a military organization, Starfleet often filled the role for United Earth and the United Federation of Planets.
In February 2022, the first official pitch of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy was honed down to describe "a new offshoot, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, is in development at CBS Studios and Alex Kurtzman's studio-based Secret Hideout for the ViacomCBS streamer, sources said. Sharing a name with the late 1990s video game, the series is set among the college of cadets mentored for leadership roles in the United Federation of Planets space force." [1]
