The sousaphone was a musical instrument from Earth.

In 2382, Ensign Barnes held a sousaphone recital on the USS Cerritos, despite still suffering lingering symptoms from the Zerta pathogen. According to Lieutenant Commander Steve Stevens, "she hasn't mastered the basics, but she's gotten very loud." Shortly after, she used her sousaphone to fend off a Clicket boarding party; the instrument proved capable of redirecting a Clicket energy weapon blast back toward the attackers. (LD: "Upper Decks")
