Ensign Sousa was a name listed as a non-speaking role in the cast list of the script of the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Next Phase", but not specified beyond that in the script. [1]

Six episodes later, the name would again return to the first draft script of "Relics", to described a male Starfleet ensign who as originally to have appeared at the conn of the Enterprise-D in that episode. However, his part in the installment was rewritten for Ensign Rager by the time the final draft of the script was issued.
