Sophia Adler
Sophia Adler (born 14 April 2001; age 24) is an actress who played a Titan sciences lieutenant jg in the Star Trek: Picard third season episodes "Dominion" and "Surrender". As a background performer, she was not credited for her role. [1]
She is the great granddaughter of the famous acting teacher Stella Adler (see also: Stella Adler) and daughter of actor / acting teacher Tom Oppenheim and director Deborah Kampmeier, who directed Adler in both Picard episodes.
Adler joined the Children Shakespeare Company in Rockland County, New York when she was nine and stayed with the company for three years. When she turned eighteen, Adler decided to pursue acting on a professional level. She attended the introductory conservatory program at the Stella Adler Studio (managed by her father) and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute in 2021.
She made her screen acting debut in the independent drama film Split (2016), written, produced, and directed by her mother, and later appeared in another one of her mother's films, Tape (2020). In 2023, she appeared in an episode of The Gilded Age, again directed by Kampmeier and featuring Dakin Matthews and Donna Murphy. The same year, she appeared in two episodes of the mystery drama series Harlan Coben's Shelter, with Missi Pyle and one episode directed by Kampmeier.
