Soltok IV

Soltok IV was the inhabited fourth planet in its star system. This planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant and was inside the Demilitarized Zone in the early 2370s.

In 2370, Lieutenant Commander Calvin Hudson claimed that a Federation merchant vessel, fired upon by the Cardassians, was transporting medical supplies to Soltok IV. Gul Evek claimed that the ship was carrying weapons and had refused to be boarded. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part I")

According to StarTrek.com, this planet, located in the Soltok system, orbited a star named Soltok. [1](X); [2](X)

The Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 245 and the closed captioning for the episode spelled the name of this planet as "Saltok IV". This spelling was used by Geoffrey Mandel for his star charts in the Star Trek: Star Charts when labeling the location of this system.

According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47, "United Federation of Planets I") and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), the star of the Saltok was a K-class star. In 2378, Saltok IV was listed as a Federation member.
