Solitary confinement

Solitary confinement was the housing of an adult or juvenile with minimal to rare meaningful contact with other individuals.

In 2375, Captain Kathryn Janeway reduced Lieutenant Tom Paris to the rank of ensign and sentenced him to thirty days solitary confinement. (VOY: "Thirty Days")
