A solicitor was a legal expert who offered their expertise outside of court.

In 2375, Yanas Tigan said she would find the best solicitor on New Sydney to help her eldest son, Janel, after she suspected him of killing Morica Bilby. In reality, her youngest son, Norvo, had committed the murder. (DS9: "Prodigal Daughter")
