Sociological computer

The sociological computer was a computer that could aid in forming a solution to sociological problems.

In 2268, James T. Kirk asked Spock if he could find an answer to the Horizon's interference with Iotian society if he had access to his sociological computer. The Vulcan replied that he couldn't access any of the computers, and wouldn't be allowed to do so even if he did have them. (TOS: "A Piece of the Action")
