Slithering

Slithering was the act of sliding along a surface like a snake.

In 2152, Sajen suggested Travis Mayweather was terrified of Suliban, commenting, "You wouldn't be surprised if I slithered up this wall or turned my face inside out." (ENT: "Detained")

According to Data in 2364, "slither" was one of several synonyms for "snoop". (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint")

In 2375, Julian Bashir, disgusted by Section 31's insidious nature, remarked, "This organisation, this thing that's slithered its way into the heart of the Federation has to be destroyed." (DS9: "Extreme Measures")
