Skyhorse Publishing is an independent book publisher across many genres including outdoor sports, adventure, team sports, nature, country living, politics, public health, current events, true crime, history, military history, reference, humor, and literary & genre fiction that in 2022 published The Science of Star Trek: The Scientific Facts Behind the Voyages in Space and Time.

Skyhorse was founded in 2006 by Tony Lyons (who had earlier served as president and publisher of Lyons Press.) Over the years it has acquired several other publishing companies, including Arcade Publishing, Allworth Press, and Sports Publishing in 2010; [1][2][3] Night Shade Books in 2013; [4] Good Books in 2014; [5] Regnery Publishing in 2023; [6] and All Seasons Press in 2024.
