Sigma Iotia

Sigma Iotia was an inhabited planetary system in the Beta Quadrant. In 2268, Captain James T. Kirk described the system as being on "the outer reaches of the galaxy". One of its planets was the Iotian homeworld Sigma Iotia II. (TOS: "A Piece of the Action"; PIC: "Maps and Legends")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the system's location was labeled in the stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. The system's symbol had a white color, indicating that it was non-aligned. (SNW: "Spock Amok")

On stardate 1292.4, the location of Sigma Iotia was labeled in a chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

In 2399, the system's location was labeled on a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. This system was located in neutral space. (TOS: "A Piece of the Action"; PIC: "Maps and Legends")
