Shoe polish

A shoe polish was a substance used to make shoes look new again.

In 2376, Chakotay recalled purchasing a tripolymer enzyme from Bathar of Hodos that was said to stop the aging process. Despite not doing what the merchant claimed it would, in the Commander's opinion, it made a great shoe polish. (VOY: "Memorial")
