Shoe gun

The shoe gun was an unique projectile weapon created for the holoprogram Julian Bashir, Secret Agent. It was a fantastical semi-automatic pistol.

This secondary weapon for the spy Julian Bashir consisted of two components: a chamber which fitted into the heel of his shoe and a barrel disguised as a pen cap. The rounds for the gun were disguised as buttons on his suit.

In 2372, in an attempt at stopping Garak from leaving the holodeck – this action might have resulted in the deaths of Benjamin Sisko and other crewmembers, Bashir fired the weapon. The bullet grazed the neck of the Cardassian, leaving a flesh wound. (DS9: "Our Man Bashir")

The weapon was designed by John Eaves and built under the supervision of Joe Longo.
