Shari Hanson
Shari Hanson was Paramount Pictures' Visual Effects Producer on 2009's Star Trek. She previously worked with Star Trek producer and director J.J. Abrams on the 2006 Paramount Pictures release, Mission: Impossible III, on which she was the Visual Effects Producer for Industrial Light & Magic.
Hanson began her career at ILM as an Associate Visual Effects Producer on Hulk (2003, starring Star Trek's Eric Bana). Hanson's first project as Lead Visual Effects Producer was The Day After Tomorrow (2004).
Including Star Trek and Mission: Impossible III, Hanson has produced the visual effects for four films written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The other two were The Island (2005, featuring Star Trek: Voyager's Ethan Phillips), and Transformers (2007). The latter film earned Hanson and Visual Effects Supervisor Scott Farrar two nominations from the Visual Effects Society Awards.
