Setting was the act of re-aligning a fractured bone.

In 2266, an android duplicate of Roger Korby assured Christine Chapel that repairing his damaged arm would be easier than setting a broken finger. (TOS: "What Are Little Girls Made Of?")

In 2367, Doctor Beverly Crusher noted that Worf's wrist had been broken and reset during a missing day. (TNG: "Clues")

In 2368, Worf warned an injured USS Enterprise-D crewmember that he would feel a sharp pain when he set the man's leg, and to be ready. (TNG: "Disaster")
